Hello Families!

Calling All Volunteers - URGENT!

The Lake Bonavista School Improvement Society has been allocated a Casino Fundraiser December 17th and 18th at the Deerfoot Casino. We are in urgent need of voluteers to fill all of the positions. If you are able to help we would appreciate your support. We have 5 open positions and would also love to have some back up volunteers ready to go.

The Signup Genius link is below:

You can also contact Crystal at lbsvolunteercoordinator@gmail.com for more information.

Thank you!

MITTEN TREE

We are collecting gently used and/or new children's mittens to donate to another CBE school who has many students arriving to school without mittens. We are hoping to pack up our donations and deliver them before the winter break so the students can play in the snow over the break.

Please note that we are only able to accept cash for this fundraiser. Thank you for your understanding!

If you know that your child will not be at school on the day or evening of December 15, please let me know as soon as possible so we have time to reassign your child’s role.  Thank you for your consideration.

  • Concert is for Grade 1-6.  Kindergarten will have their own event in the Spring

  • Dress Rehearsals 9:30 am (6:00 show) and 12:45pm (7:30 show) will be on Dec. 15

  • Each LBS family will receive 2 tickets to the concert.  We will also have a sign-up sheet in the office for up to 2 more tickets should they become available.

  • Guests are able to attend Dress Rehearsals for their designated show without a ticket.

  • Some families have a child in each concert.  These families will be contacted to ask which concert they would like all of their children to be in and they will receive 2 tickets to that concert.

  • Students in Grades 1-4 can wear what they like to the concert.  No hats please so we can see everyone’s smiling faces when they are on the stage!
  • Grade 5 and 6 students with acting parts have been told what they can wear for the show.  Family ideas, - toque, light jacket, light mitts.  Dogs can decide what kind of dog they would like to be.  For example, all white, brown, black, clothing.  I have a costume for Santa.

Thank you,
